Service Description
Recovery Housing: Denson EL Centers for Recovery Support Services (DEC)- DEC Recovery Estates. Our Recovery Homes, “DEC Recovery Estates”, are alcohol and drug free living environments for individuals attempting to maintain abstinence from alcohol and other drugs. They offer no formal treatment but either mandate or strongly encourage attendance at 12-step groups. Recovery Housing is an important resource for individuals completing residential treatment, attending outpatient programs, leaving incarceration or seeking alternatives to formal treatment. These homes will be Michigan Association of Recovery Residences (MARR) certified. Individuals may stay in these facilities up to 6 months based upon medical necessity criteria. THE DEC Recovery Estates offers Client's access to an array of Evidenced Based Practices like: Safe and sober living environment Social wellness events Safe and sober leisure activities Weekly group meetings Individual 1 on 1 sessions Recovery support resources Positive Reinforcement Access to 12 Step support groups Education, career and employment services Family and community support Our Recovery Estates (centers) sleeping quarters and common areas are very spacious, vary in size and can hold between 1-4 residents per room. The Centers are fully furnished with new to slightly used quality furniture, bedding, bed bug protectors, dressers, kitchen appliances (stove, refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster, electric can opener, pots/pans, full table settings), stackable washer/dryer laundry units, HD flat screen televisions, etc. Each week our residents are provided fresh bed linen, pillowcases and towels via professional laundry service. Each facility is located in a residential neighborhood which is located within walking distance of bus routes, neighborhood business, and nearby stores. The total of facilities currently occupied are 3 with 10 beds being utilized. Although they are in residential neighborhoods each facility adheres to the MDOC of not being placed in neighborhoods where structures are utilized frequently by children (playgrounds, rec centers, schools, etc.) within 1200 sq ft.
